Position Description:

Reporting Line: Program Underwriting Director With responsibility for growing and retaining a profitable portfolio of DUO non-can policies, Duo Underwriting uniquely includes elements of Credit and Commercial Underwriting for New Business, Renewals and Relationship Management.

Based on the needs of the team, and as agreed with the Manager, the Duo Underwriter would have responsibility both for new business and client relationship management, or for one of these two roles.

Responsibilities and Duties Credit underwriting & credit management expertise Assess and validate a client's credit management procedures Underwrite non-cancellable buyer credit limit requests for our clients and prospects, within individual authority levels and respecting target response times In addition to client relationship and renewal responsibilities, for a select group of clients also act as a strategic advisor for any credit or industry topics Contribute to the overall profitability of our portfolio Commercial underwriting & relationship management Build close relationships with our distribution channels, working together with them to identify Duo opportunities Utilizing experience and underwriting guidelines, support the underwriting and negotiation of new business and/or renewals, according to our retention and profitability objectives Provide excellent service to internal and external customers, managing a portfolio of renewal policies Drive revenue, retention and growth goals Required

Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree in economics, finance or related discipline 2-4 years relevant working experience, for example in credit insurance, finance or credit management Good business and commercial awareness and experience of credit or financial assessment.

Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills Strong analytical and research skills.

Ability to build close relationships with customers and distribution partners Influencing and negotiating skills Total Compensation range: $85,000-$120,000 Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual's relevant experience, skills for the role, and location.
