Key
Responsibilities Lead all core accounting and financial operations , ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with SAP , GAAP , and IFRS 17 standards.
Manage general ledger integrity and oversee financial processes related to premium allocation, claims, and reinsurance entries .
Direct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting —supporting internal stakeholders, the parent company , and board-level communications .
Serve as the primary liaison for external audits , regulatory examinations , and tax compliance (including premium tax, federal, and state filings).
Guide budgeting and forecasting efforts—developing tools, models, and performance reports that inform company strategy.
Maintain and enhance the internal control environment while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and automation .
Support the integration of financial systems and contribute to the development of data-driven financial reporting infrastructure .
What Makes You a Strong Fit Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CFA required . 10+ years of senior-level finance or accounting experience in the insurance industry , preferably with a carrier .
Deep expertise in Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP) and familiarity with IFRS17 and GAAP reporting.
Experience managing insurance tax obligations , including exposure to international or multi-entity structures .
Proven leadership in audit readiness, regulatory interactions , and reporting to private equity or parent organizations .
Comfortable operating in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments; able to work strategically and tactically.
Skilled in financial platforms, ERP systems , and data integration tools.
