Financial Institutions Underwriter

Overview: This position is the highest, non-management level underwriter and will be responsible for assessing a company’s risk profile then determining the appropriate coverage for highly complex D&O accounts. This individual will be responsible for management and marketing of the assigned territory.

Functions:
• Assess company’s risk and identifies appropriate coverages and pricing per that risk.
• Achieves production goals within the assigned territory.
• Handles complex policy maintenance items as well as other mid-term requests.
• Maintains relationships with brokers and may travel as needed.
• Places reinsurance per department guidelines and maintains relationships with reinsures.
• Trains and mentors other Underwriters and may have Underwriting Assistants directly reporting.
