Position Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated FP&A Analyst to join our finance team.

This role will provide critical financial insights, support strategic decision-making, and enhance financial planning, reporting, and analysis processes.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of insurance finance, and the ability to collaborate across departments to drive performance.

Financial Planning & Forecasting: Support the development of the annual plan and rolling forecasts.

Partner with business leaders to develop key financial assumptions and scenario analyses.

Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly and quarterly comprehensive financial reports and dashboards for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and financial metrics.

Perform financial analysis to identify key performance drivers and areas for improvement.

Business Partnering: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

Support leadership with data-driven insights for strategic decision-making.

Provide insights and recommendations based on thorough analysis of financial data.

Process Improvement & AdHoc Analysis: Continuously improve and streamline reporting processes and analyses through customer feedback and applied learnings/experience in the role to improve efficiency.

Contribute to financial modeling improvements in planning and forecasting to enhance process efficiencies.

Engage in ad-hoc analysis and special projects to support the business as needed.

Enhance financial models, reporting tools, and dashboard automation using Tableau, Prophix, or other analytics tools.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field is preferred, CPA or MBA is a plus. 3+ years' experience in financial planning and analysis.

Insurance experience in Excess & Surplus lines or Property & Casualty lines a plus.

Thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Advanced Excel spreadsheet and financial modeling skills.

Prophix or similar planning tool experience is a plus.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Willingness to learn and utilize new applications.

Self-starter with excellent time management and organizational skills.

Ability to multitask, collaborate and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
