California Homeowners Product Development Manager Location: Fully Remote (EST & CST time zones preferred) Compensation: $150,000 – $175,000 + Bonus Employment Type: Full-time Industry: Homeowners Insurance / E&S Lines About the Role Our client is an established leader in the high-risk homeowners insurance space, with deep expertise in the California E&S lines market.

As they continue to expand, they're seeking a California Homeowners Product Development Manager to lead product strategy, underwriting, and pricing initiatives to drive profitable growth.

Key

Responsibilities Serve as the primary contact for all opportunities and challenges related to the California homeowners product.

Share accountability for P&L performance and contribute to overall product profitability.

Analyze internal and external data to uncover marketing, underwriting, and pricing opportunities.

Monitor and evaluate production results to assess business quality and pricing adequacy.

Maintain a strong understanding of California E&S regulations and ensure full product compliance.

Lead product design improvements and manage prioritization of updates and changes.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful and accurate implementation of product updates.

Develop a working knowledge of catastrophe modeling to help manage exposure risk.

Assess the competitive landscape and guide strategic efforts to better position the product in the market.

Qualifications &

Experience In-depth knowledge of California E&S homeowners insurance, including rules, processes, and regulatory environment. 6+ years of experience in the California homeowners insurance space. 3+ years in product, underwriting, analytics, or actuarial roles, ideally with cross-functional project leadership.

Strong analytical mindset and proven ability to apply data insights to product strategy.

Ability to translate complex data into actionable product decisions (technical team handles analytics; you must interpret and lead with data).

Excellent communication and project management skills, with a track record of driving product success across teams.
