Job Description A Day in the Life of a NCT Oversite Technical Reviewer The Oversite Function provides claims guidance, quality assurance, and focused claim audits, including full file audits, partial file audits, and payment audits.
The team also delivers analysis, training, and oversite to Field Claims operations.
Catastrophe claims arise from events such as hurricanes, wildfires, earthquakes, and other man-made catastrophes and may include auto, commercial, flood, and property losses.
As part of the NCT Oversite Technical Team and under limited supervision, this role is responsible for monitoring and providing oversight of claims handled by contingent workers and NCT Staff adjusters from initial report through final disposition.
The Consultant provides guidance on investigations, evaluates coverage, liability, and damages, reviews claim valuations, and issues settlement or denial authority on moderate losses that exceed individual adjuster or contingent worker administrative manager authority.
Schedule, Travel & Hiring Locations Work Schedule: 10 days on / 4 days off, 7:00 AM 7:00 PM (Schedule B or C, Monday Wednesday) Location: Remote Travel: 1025% annually, based on operational needs and CAT events Not Eligible for Residents of: California, Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, or Puerto Rico What Youll Do Serve as a resource to management on complex coverage issues and high-severity claims Authorize damage estimates and claim payments for moderately complex losses Provide vendor oversite and NCT Staff Oversite Support coverage investigations, supplement triage, subrogation investigations, Public Adjuster claims, ALE handling, asbestos abatement, Outside Adjuster ladder assists, and contents inventory and pricing Review statistical and performance reports to assess claim outcomes, processes, and procedures, and communicate findings Conduct claims performance, quality, and audit reviews Document claim files with clear notes, evaluations, and decision rationale Summarize documentation and enter information into claim system notes Preferred
Qualifications Three (3) or more years of direct property adjusting experience Property estimating experience, including estimate writing
Experience using estimating tools (e.g., Xactimate) Active adjusters license Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment High attention to detail with strong time management and analytical skills
Education Bachelors degree (4-year) preferred In lieu of the above education requirement, an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered Notice of Licensing Requirement As a condition of employment, certain locations may require an adjuster and/or appraiser license, which may include passing an additional Department of Labor background check If required, licenses must be obtained within 60 days of hire Notes This description is not intended to be a complete list of all duties and responsibilities.
