Job Description Were seeking a versatile and highly motivated Paralegal Specialist to support our Subrogation and Insurance Defense teams, including Bodily Injury (BI) and Homeowners litigation.

This hybrid role is approximately 50% subrogation-focused and 50% BI/homeowners-focused.

Ideal for someone who thrives in high-volume, deadline-driven environments, this position will support 24 attorneys across both disciplines.

This is a plaintiff-side role for subrogation (Allstate is the plaintiff), and defense-side for BI/homeowners.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter, extremely organized, flexible, and ready to take ownership of complex files.

Key

Responsibilities Subrogation (approx. 50%) Manage a high-volume subrogation caseload with autonomy from inception through resolution.

Draft and issue demand letters, negotiate directly with adjusters, and coordinate recoveries.

Prepare pleadings and filings; assist attorneys in pursuing litigation strategiesthough most matters resolve pre-trial.

Process payments and maintain precise documentation on case status and outcomes.

Collaborate closely with attorneys in the Miami office on active litigation files.

Monitor statute limitations and ensure timely legal action.

Bodily Injury & Homeowners (approx. 50%) Support attorneys on bodily injury and property damage litigation, including discovery, pleadings, and court filings.

Schedule depositions, hearings, and maintain litigation calendars.

Organize and summarize medical records, draft responses to discovery, and help prepare experts and witnesses.

Ensure tight litigation deadlines are met and coordinate communication with clients and opposing counsel.

Education & Licenses 4-year Bachelors Degree is highly preferred.

In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered such as a 2- year paralegal certificate from an ABA approved program.

Minimum Requirements 1+ years e xperience as a paralegal in subrogation OR bodily injury required .

Strong familiarity with litigation procedures, court filings, and discovery.

Excellent organization and time management in a high-volume environment.

Skilled in legal drafting, negotiation, and multitasking across different legal practice areas.

D etail-oriented, self-motivated, and thrives under pressure.
