Responsibilities Premium Audit Manager is responsible for the leadership of the department and oversight of premium audits while ensuring the company follows all compliance and regulatory rules.
Manage and support a team of approximately 3-5 employees as well as train and develop new staff that joins the department Manage staff performance and goals and communicate results through individual and group conversations and meetings Manage vendor relationships to ensure high level quality and service expectations are met Monitor and maintain premium audit compliance with state and other regulatory agencies Monitor and maintain a working knowledge NCCI, PAAS, and other industry updates impacting premium audit Prepare and communicate departments results and statistics to leadership team Work and collaborate with underwriters to assist in marketing efforts to generate new business as well as assist with any audit related questions or issues Communicate and assist accounting team with audit issues and collection of audit premiums Effectively and clearly communicate audit results to agents and insureds Continue to monitor and implement new department objectives, procedures, and workflow processes that align with company and corporate goals Build and maintain relationships with external customers such as agents, brokers, and insureds Special projects as assigned by CFO and management
Qualifications A minimum of 5-10 years' Premium Audit experience.
Excellent organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to be proactive, complete assignments and meet deadlines.
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management, staff, and customers.
Ability to effectively work in a fast-pace environment with competing demands on resources, time and priorities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office including an excellent working knowledge of Excel.
Oil & Gas experience a plus.
Associate in Premium Auditing and/or CPCU designation a plus.
This position requires some travel.
