Pricing Actuary - Remote

Location: Chicago, IL 60601; Alpharetta, GA; Chapel Hill, NC; Hartford, CT 06101; Jersey City, NJ 07030 Compensation: $150,000 – $190,000 About the Role A highly respected national Property & Casualty insurance carrier is seeking a Pricing Actuary to play a pivotal role in ensuring rate adequacy, building pricing tools, and delivering actionable insights that drive profitable, sustainable growth.

This is a strategic, high-impact actuarial position where you'll collaborate directly with underwriting, IT, and actuarial leadership to shape pricing frameworks and support enterprise-wide decisions .

Key

Responsibilities Conduct rate indication studies to ensure profitability and achieve business goals.

Develop and maintain rating plans; partner with underwriting to integrate pricing logic into policy systems.

Build and implement analytical tools and pricing models to support data-driven underwriting.

Collaborate with actuarial teams on pricing, modeling, and reserving to deliver insights to senior leadership.

Support reinsurance treaty renewals, annual planning, budgeting, and regulatory filings .

Leverage technology (Excel, SQL, Python, and other tools) to streamline workflows and improve data capture.

What Makes You a Great Fit Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Data Science, or related field . 7+ years of Property & Casualty actuarial experience .

ACAS or FCAS designation required.

Strong technical and tool-building skills (Python preferred).

Experience with Specialty Property or Inland Marine lines is a plus.
