
Safety & Loss Control Specialist Location: Hybrid – Lakewood, NJ or Brooklyn, NY Compensation: $75,000 to $85,000 + Benefits Industry: Healthcare | Risk Management | Insurance About the Role A leading provider of innovative claims handling and risk management solutions in the Healthcare sector is seeking a Safety & Loss Control Specialist.
This role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing safety and loss control programs across healthcare facilities.
The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and workplace safety, with a focus on enhancing safety culture and reducing claims exposure.
This is a hybrid position based in either Lakewood, NJ or Brooklyn, NY.
Key
Responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive safety and loss control programs for healthcare operations Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations Conduct risk assessments and safety audits; identify hazards and recommend corrective actions Develop and deliver safety training programs for all levels of client staff Lead incident and near-miss investigations, determine root causes, and drive corrective improvements Support clients with site assessments and policy credit evaluations Skills &
Experience Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or Risk Management (Master's degree a plus) 5+ years of professional experience in safety management, loss control, or related fields, ideally within Healthcare Deep knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and best practices Proven success in designing and executing training programs and safety initiatives
Experience conducting site assessments and delivering safety recommendations Preferred certifications: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Safety and Health Manager (CSHM), or similar Compensation & Benefits Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 Benefits: Comprehensive package available (inquire for details)
