SUMMARY The Salesforce Quality Assurance(QA) Lead is responsible for guiding testing strategy and leadership of the QA team to ensure high-quality, compliant, and stable delivery of insurance technology solutions.
This role defines test approach, oversees planning and execution across all testing phases, and collaborates with stakeholders to minimize defects and improve system reliability. *Travel is required for this role up to 20% frequency.
Hybrid work schedule in Alliant Offices Los Angeles, CA; Chicago, IL; Tampa, FL; Naples, FL; or Atlanta, GA.* ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Define and implement the comprehensive test strategy and QA methodologies for systems including policy administration, claims, billing, CRM, and integrations.
Ensure alignment of testing scope with business requirements, regulatory needs, and technical expectations.
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA professionalsboth manual and automation testers.
Oversee all test phases: functional, integration, regression, UAT, and performance testing.
Partners with business stakeholders to translate use cases (e.g., onboarding, claims, renewals, cross-sell/upsell) into integration-enabled Salesforce solutions.
Establish and monitor QA metrics (defect density, test coverage, execution progress).
Facilitate defect triage meetings, root cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution.
Provide clear status updates and quality insight to project stakeholders and senior leadership.
Drive QA process maturityincluding automation frameworks and DevOps/CI-CD integration.
Introduce best practices in testing tools and workflows, aligned with Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
Partner with development, business analysis, product management, and vendor teams to ensure aligned delivery.
Operate within compliance standards, risk frameworks, and regulatory requirements relevant in insurance environments.
QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Six (6) or more years of QA experience including leadership in insurance or regulated industry.
Salesforce Administrator Salesforce Platform App Builder Salesforce Platform Developer I SKILLS Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis mindset coupled with a consultative approach.
Deep knowledge of QA strategy, test lifecycle, testing methodologies, and tooling (e.g., Jira, TestRail, HP ALM).
Strong expertise with defect management tools (Jira, ALM, etc.) and maintaining traceability matrices.
Expertise with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright) and CI/CD pipeline collaboration tools.
Proven experience in Agile environments and test execution within Scrum teams.
