Summary: The Senior Manager of Financial Reporting will oversee accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP).
This position will be responsible for financial reporting, working with auditors, and internal control compliance at rapidly growing and dynamic company with complex financial reporting requirements.
The position provides high-level exposure working with senior finance executives and corporate level leadership on analysis projects to aid in strategic decision making.
Essential Functions: Oversee the preparation of internal and external financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting and ensure the integrity of financial data.
Ensure compliance related to financial reporting and disclosure requirements Conduct detailed financial analysis, identify trends, provide strategic insights, and prepare ad hoc reporting to support management decision-making.
Lead and coordinate financial audits with internal and external auditors, including responding to audit inquiries and reviewing documentation.
Perform technical accounting research, interpret new accounting standards, and ensure they are implemented effectively.
Oversee the development and collection of data necessary to prepare quarterly budget analyses and work with department heads to facilitate their annual budgeting process as well as explain significant cost variances, Supervise, mentor, and train accounting staff, ensuring they meet departmental standards and develop their skills.
Serve as a key point of contact for senior management, business units, and external stakeholders, communicating financial performance and insights.
Meet with divisional controllers on accounting and financial reporting issues.
