Position

Summary: As an Underwriter Trainee , you will undergo comprehensive training to develop a deep understanding of insurance underwriting principles and practices.

You will work closely with seasoned underwriters to evaluate and analyze property exposures and make informed decisions to ensure profitability while providing excellent customer experience.

Essential Functions: Evaluate personal lines homeowners' policy applications, endorsements, and renewals by analyzing property characteristics, identifying hazards, and using critical thinking to ensure profitable risk selection.

Perform due diligence by utilizing underwriting resources, vendor tools and loss activity to evaluate exposures and ensure risk selection contributes to profitable business growth.

Ensure adherence to Personal Lines underwriting standards, objectives, and guidelines to meet department production and quality requirements, state regulatory requirements and agent expectations. #LI-Remote
