Responsibilities The Underwriting Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to the underwriting department.
The primary role of the Underwriting Coordinator is to process and coordinate paperwork for the Underwriting Department This position requires particular attention to detail, being a team player, and is task-oriented. clearing and logging in new / renewal submissions requesting loss runs processing conditional renewal notices checking underlying policies handling incoming mail setting up policy folders and ensuring SharePoint is up to date with correspondence.
Issuing quotes, binders and policy(s) The ability to commute to the Chicago West Loop office (550 West Jackson) up to 4 days a week
Qualifications 3+ years of administrative experience, experience in the P&C insurance industry preferred but not required.
Strong oral / communications skills with a positive attitude Detail-oriented with initiative and ability to work in a fast-paced environment A focus on delivering exceptional customer service Proficient in the use of computer software programs, including, but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint Resourceful, analytical, with the ability to execute tasks through to resolution Additional duties as assigned Additional Company Details We do not accept any unsolicited resumes from external recruiting agencies or firms.
The target base salary for this role is $50,000.00.
This is a Non-Exempt role so does qualify for time and half pay for overtime.
The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
