The Underwriting Trainee &
Education Program Manager will have executive oversight of the Company's Underwriting Trainee Program, including the development of curriculum, participation in recruitment, and full program execution.
Duties and
Responsibilities Design and execute a comprehensive training curriculum focused on commercial lines insurance.
Deliver technical training on risk assessment, pricing, underwriting guidelines, policy issuance, finance, actuarial regulatory compliance, and claims management.
Work with underwriting leadership and human resources to attract and retain strong trainee candidates.
Facilitate small group training modules and case study exercises.
Develop and oversee a testing process to ensure trainees meet learning benchmarks.
Experience Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. 5+ years of commercial property-casualty underwriting experience.
Excess and surplus lines underwriting experience required.
Participation in a full commercial insurance underwriting training program and/or experience in developing underwriter training materials.
A deep understanding of the fundamentals of commercial underwriting.
