California law states that “any person who makes or causes to be made any knowingly false or fraudulent material statement or material representation for the purpose of obtaining or denying workers’ compensation benefits or payments is guilty of a felony.”

There are many forms of fraud in the workers’ compensation arena. They include claimant fraud, employer fraud, and professional fraud. This workshop will focus on all of these “faces” of fraud.
