Loss of Use

Coverage paying for rental transportation while your vehicle is repaired from a covered claim.

Loss of use or rental reimbursement pays a daily limit for a substitute vehicle during covered repairs, up to a maximum number of days. It does not apply when the car is only undrivable for maintenance.

Examples

After a covered collision, rental coverage pays $40/day for 15 days while the shop waits for parts.

Common Misconceptions

Exceeding daily or maximum limits without paying difference out of pocket. No coverage when claim is denied.
