Rental Reimbursement
An optional auto coverage that reimburses rental car costs during a covered repair period.
Rental reimbursement is essentially the marketing name for loss of use on personal auto policies. It requires a covered comprehensive or collision claim on the insured vehicle.
Examples
Your car is in the body shop 10 days for hail repairs; rental reimbursement pays up to policy per-day cap.
Common Misconceptions
Thinking it covers vacation rentals or mechanical breakdown rentals — it does not.
