Seven people were injured Tuesday in a crash at a Houston Police academy training facility in north Harris County. Police said two patrol cars collided on the driving training track at the facility at 17000 Aldine West Road near Weldon Way shortly after 9 a.m. Investigators said law enforcement dignitaries from Xinjiang, China, were on a prearranged tour of the academy and some of them were inside the patrol cars as officers showed training maneuvers. Police said there was a "timing issue" with one of the maneuvers and the cars collided on the track.
