Hail causes rise in insurance claims

Superintendent Charles Warren said damage repair could cost as much as $1 million. The rooftops of Plainview, Sylvania, Fyffe and Geraldine schools were all damaged Friday after a line of severe thunderstorms brought high winds, a significant amount of rain and heavy hail to areas in DeKalb County – especially on Sand Mountain.
