Thousands of claims have poured into insurance companies after hail storms passed through the area last weekend, and insurers are warning consumers to be cautious when having autos and homes repaired. State Farm representatives said Thursday there were 1,186 home claims and 1,537 claims for wind, rain and hail damage in the area. "We really expect the number of claims to grow as people realize the extent of the damage," said Patti Kelly , of State Farm Texas Zone public affairs and media relations.
