Wyoming bill aims to curb insurance fraud

Someone holds a garage sale and then files an insurance claim for theft of the merchandise. That is an example of insurance fraud. Companies are seeing more of it since the downturn in the economy, an insurance company spokesman said Tuesday. A legislative committee endorsed a bill Tuesday that would give immunity from civil liability to allow the free flow of information between insurance claims units and law enforcement agencies in suspected fraud cases.
