The recent turbulent weather conditions across the UK have caused a wide range of incidents in which property has been damaged, resulting in home insurance claims having to be made. Sadly, the strong winds and heavy precipitation are going to continue, so property owners are advised to check their home insurance policies to ensure they provide sufficient protection against the unrelenting weather. In total, 50 dwellings have been flooded over the last few days, with a further 10 instances of flooded residences very recently reported by the Environment Agency as having occurred on the Isle of Wight.
