Insurance Claims Flowing In As Snow Damage Spreads; Roofs Collapsing On Some Buildings

The crushing weight of snow this month is collapsing roofs on some buildings in Connecticut and causing widespread damage, resulting in a torrent of insurance claims. Glastonbury insurance agent Liz Palmer is getting more phone calls than ever from people filing claims after melting snow on the roof forms ice. The ice accumulates in the gutters, causing roofs to leak and water to drip into the house.
