Md. public adjuster fined $4,000 in Pa. for saying he was lawyer

A public adjuster from Glenwood, Md., was fined $4,000 by Pennsylvania insurance regulators for wrongly saying he was a lawyer in that state. Jeffrey T. Pence also was placed on five-years of license supervision by the Pennsylvania Insurance Department, records indicate. On June 16, 2010, Pence represented a Maryland policyholder as a consultant during a recorded interview regarding a theft claim with Fireman’s Fund.
