The number of questionable insurance claims last year, although 24% more than in 2008, is a “statistical no big deal,” according to a National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) official. The 91,797 claims referred amounts to just 0.19% of those processed, according to Frank G. Scafidi, director of public affairs for NICB. “At the end of the day, it probably doesn’t mean much in the agent/broker world,” Scafidi told IFAwebnews.com.
