1 Killed In Small Plane Crash Near Opa-Locka Airport

One person is dead after a small cargo plane crashed into the side of a house in northwest Miami-Dade County on Monday morning. The crash happened at about 8 a.m. at 15735 NW 37th Court, near Opa-Locka Airport. The vintage twin-engine Beechcraft plane crashed shortly after leaving Opa-Locka Airport on its way to the Bahamas. The retrofitted cargo plane, which was carrying home supplies and computers, had just taken off when the pilot reported a problem and attempted to return to the airport.
