Thousands still without power in Illinois

John Micek paid $8,000 to have a forest of broken branches and upended trees removed from his Crystal Lake yard. Monday’s storm brought limbs, branches, entire trees, and a utility pole down onto his home and the garage behind it at 493 Lake Ave. Micek was one more than 259,000 customers statewide still without power Tuesday.
