Middle of old Holyoke mill blown away

It looks like a wrecking ball slammed into an old paper mill near the Holyoke Dam. Tuesday’s winds blasted away the middle of the building. From the video, you can see bricks and broken pieces of wood covering the ground, there are also twisted bits of metal piping sticking out in the Lyman Street building. Holyoke residents couldn’t believe the destruction. “It was like hell broke loose. Look, it was unbelievable,” said Paul Garvulenski, owner of Garvulenski’s Service Center. “It sounded like a train, it made a lot of noise. The hail, the wind, it was intense.”
