Dry Ice Offered to Those Without Power After Sunday’s Storms

About 5,600 people were still without power Monday afternoon after Sunday’s storms came through the metro area with force. To keep their food from spoiling in freezers and refrigerators, many without electricity took advantage of the free dry ice offered by KCP&L. It’s available at the Lowe’s store at North Oak Trafficway and Vivion Road until it runs out. At noon Monday, KCP&L had given away seven tons of dry ice and still had approximately one ton left.
