1 person taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after Amtrak derailment in Neb.

An Amtrak spokesman says one person has been taken to a hospital after a train carrying about 175 passengers hit a vehicle and derailed in southwest Nebraska. Amtrak’s Marc Magliari said the person’s injuries were considered non-life-threatening. He didn’t have information on any other injuries to passengers or crew members aboard the eastbound California Zephyr train from San Francisco to Chicago.
