When people in Ocean City looked to the sky at the end of the afternoon Thursday, many saw what they thought was a tornado. Viewers who contacted WBAL-TV 11 News said they saw a funnel or a water spout shortly before 3:30 p.m. 11 Insta-Weather PLUS Chief Meteorologist Tom Tasselmyer said a strong cold front moving through Maryland fired up a line of thunderstorms that can produce tornadoes without warning. The fast-moving thunderstorm was already out to sea by 5 p.m.
