Repairman OK After Fainting 14 Feet Underground
Monday, October 3rd, 2011 Workers' CompensationA repairman spent the night in intensive care at the hospital Thursday after fainting and getting trapped 14 feet underground in a manhole outside a West Bridgewater car repair shop. Gus Futyma, 51, an employee of Williamson Electric Motor Service, was repairing a broken valve in a septic pump chamber when he passed out. His partner, his brother-in-law Jay, said Futyma had been in the well for less than 10 minutes when he said he couldnt breathe.
