Monday, October 10th, 2011 Property

Students who arrived for class Friday morning were met with a startling discovery -- a deer that had broken through a classroom window and was trapped inside. Burlington police said the officers were called to Williams High School at about 7:45 a.m. Animal control officers were able to shoo the deer outside, and it ran across Church Street, police said. Blood from the deer’s mouth was discovered inside the room, but the animal’s injuries appeared minor, police said. No students were injured.
