Possible tornado touches down in South Florida

Wednesday, October 19th, 2011 Auto Property

Officials say a possible tornado left a 2-mile-long trail of damage in a suburban South Florida neighborhood.
Plantation Fire Battalion Chief Joel Gordon said Wednesday that the quarter-mile-wide debris trail has "all the classic signs" a tornado. National Weather service officials were expected in Broward County to investigate the damage reports. A storm system Tuesday soaked an already soggy region, leaving behind damaged property, blocked roads and fallen trees.
