Would pet owners really maim or even kill their pets in order to make claims for the insurance money? Apparently, the answer to that question is yes. A new and disturbing report from the Daily Mail says that fake pet insurance claims in the UK have quadrupled in the past year. Some owners have gone as far as seriously injuring or even killing their pets so that they can make a claim and receive compensation for it. In addition, pet owners have crafted "accidents" that injured their pets in order to cover up other injuries that may not have been originally covered by their insurance provider.
