School Bus Bursts Into Flames In Midtown

A yellow school bus burst into flames during the morning commute in Midtown, moments after its passengers were transferred onto another bus in Midtown, police said. According to authorities, the bus was being taken for repairs on 7th Avenue near 35th St. when it became engulfed in flames some time before 8 a.m. It’s eight student passengers and driver were already on a different bus when the fire started. The fire prompted police to close traffic in the area for about a half hour.
