1 Dies In Head-On Crash On I-35 North Of Cameron

Two tractor-trailers collided head-on, closing part of Interstate 35 north of Cameron for several hours Friday morning. The Daviess County Sherriff’s Department said the driver of a northbound tractor-trailer crossed the median, hitting a second tractor-trailer about 1:10 a.m. at mile marker 61. The driver of the northbound big rig was killed. The Missouri Highway patrol said a passing motorist pulled the passenger out of the northbound truck. The Highway Patrol said Michael D. McQueen, 58, of Jonesborough, Tenn., was taken by air ambulance to the University of Kansas Hospital.
