The side air bags deployed and all the electronics died when a bolt of lightning hit a car along M-6 Tuesday morning, forcing a mother to kick her way out through the drivers window as she grabbed her 4-year-old son from the car. Dawn Marvau and her son, Bryce, were on their way to go shopping when her Chevrolet crossover took a direct hit from the lightning on M-6 east of Hanna Lake Avenue SE in Dutton. "All of the sudden, I saw a bolt of lightning come down and hit the front of my car," Marvau told 24 Hour News 8.
