Cattle Truck Plummets Off Highway

A tractor trailer full of cattle flipped off of Interstate 70 westbound early Thursday morning and caught fire. KMBC’s Rebecca Gannon said the truck landed on 118th Street where it caught fire. "Oh, about 2:15 a.m., we heard a loud crash. We looked out the window and the truck was on the bottom and the whole thing was in flames," resident Steve Scherer said. The driver of the truck was ejected and was taken to a hospital for treatment of his injuries. We’re told his injuries are serious.
