Another eight structures burned in the High Park Fire in Colorado, the most destructive in the state’s history, officials said on Monday. No estimates on insured losses have been made, but the cost of the fire to date is estimated at $12.6 million, according to a report from the Larimer County Sheriff’s office. Up to 2,500 residents have been evacuated at various stages of the fire. “At this point our insurance adjusters don’t have safe access to the homes that were burned,” said Carole Walker, executive director of the Rocky Mountain Insurance Information Association.
