Home Explosion in Townshend, Vermont

Police say a two-story home exploded around 3:00AM Wednesday in Townshend. They say no one was hurt. At this point, police say the cause is not suspicious and think it might be because of a propane leak. The explosion knocked the home of its foundation and sent debris flying up to 200 feet away. People came from all over to see what remained of this home from the 1800’s. "It exploded from downstairs and the whole building fell on top of itself," says Kit Martin, Townshend selectboard member.
