Construction worker killed, another injured after New York City roof collapse

A construction worker was killed and another injured when a construction site collapse on them, in the basement of a Fort Greene brownstone this morning, authorities said. The collapse happened at 214 Carlton Ave. at about 9:14 a.m., according to FDNY records. Both workers were pulled from basement at about 9:41 a.m.. One was taken to Brooklyn Hospital where he was pronounced dead, officials said. The other was taken Kings County Hospital where he was listed in serious condition, a fire rep said.
