A hole opened in Titusville on Monday, swallowing a tractor pulling a mower and collapsing a roadway. The hole, determined by officials to be a washout that collapsed under the weight of the tractor, opened in the 6900 block of Windover Way near the Addison Canal. Windover Way has been closed in the area, and Brevard County emergency officials tweeted an alert to motorists, urging them to avoid the area. The tractor was later removed, but officials said school buses will have to be re-routed because of the hole, which was initially believed to be a sinkhole.
