Five people were injured in a natural gas explosion that destroyed a Castle Rock home Friday morning. Lisa Martinez and four adopted children were inside the home in the 6900 block of Sulfur Lane when it exploded around 7:15 a.m. "We heard an enormous explosion," said neighbor Mike Cox. "It sounded like a plane had crashed," said another neighbor, Chris Bruno. Bruno added that he and several neighbors ran to the rubble to check for survivors. "The children apparently got out on their own," said Castle Rock fire chief Art Morales. "The mother needed assistance."
