NOAA Opens Center for Weather and Climate Prediction at U. of Maryland

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is opening its new Center for Weather and Climate Prediction, located at the University of Maryland in College Park. Acting Secretary of Commerce Rebecca Blank, U.S. Senator Barbara Mikulski, NOAA Adminstrator Jane Lubchenco and other federal and state officials will gather today for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new center on University of Maryland grounds to announce the new programs and collaborations the facility will support.
