Residents are cleaning up a major mess on the White Sands Missile Range after high winds ripped off rooftops and broke windshields. Meteorologists said the weather is to blame for at least 75 broken vehicle windows. "If you get a really high wind in a really local area and you get a change in pressure on the outside of the car and the inside of the window, that can cause the window to break," said meteorologist Scott Startz. Startz said some of the damage could be from flying rocks or tree limbs, but the majority of the broken glass is due to the perfect mix of pressure and the elements.
