A neighbor rescued eight toddlers from an Uptown two-alarm fire caused by the children playing with fire in an upstairs room. The fire happened in the 2000 block of Josephine Street at 9:23 a.m. Fire crews said a neighbor forced their way into the home and rescued eight toddlers between the ages of 3 and 5. "Its like I was telling the fire chief, Ive never felt so special in my life," said Jim Leasure. Leasure says he was sitting on his front porch when he saw smoke billowing out of the home across the street. He says immediately he ran into the burning shotgun double and found those kids inside as the home filled with thick black smoke.
