Friday, April 5th, 2013 Property

Crews quickly extinguished a car fire Wednesday afternoon that was threatening to spread to a nearby house. Investigators told Channel 11’s Alan Jennings that a man was using defective jumper cables when the cars caught fire about 3 p.m. along Anderson Drive in Richland Township. The homeowner told Jennings that the cars, which were parked in the driveway, were close enough to the house that the flames almost spread. Everyone from inside the home was evacuated.
