Plumpton Park Zoo intern injured after lightning strikes nearby tree

A 19-year-old woman was hit by lightning that struck a nearby tree during storms on Thursday morning. Sgt. Brownfield, with the Cecil County Sheriff said that a 19-year-old intern of the Plumpton Park Zoo was hit with lightning after it struck a tree 30 feet away while at work on Thursday morning. A Cecil County EMS representative said that when the EMS crew arrived the woman was in cardiac arrest and they used CPR to bring her back.
